Travelling | Foto: Benedetta Großrubatscher Sara's Game

I meet my friend Sara to go for a walk and, as usual, just before we say goodbye to each other, she comes up with a kind of therapeutic game to get rid of my doubts. She's great at this: she's able to feel exactly what and who you are.

She makes me write my feelings down on seven slips of paper, has me arrange them in a particular way, then interprets the results.
She maintains that, in spite of my opinions and convictions, the most important thing for me is travel.

And she's right! Whenever I travel I feel more alive than ever, especially when those around me speak another language and live and think in a different way than I do. All of my senses become heightened: I love to observe people, to watch how they move, to see what they wear, what they eat, how they greet one another, how they talk.

I love to imagine who lives in the buildings and houses I see and, if I actually get to meet a local and have the opportunity to go inside one of them, I feel like my trip has left the realm of the superficial and that I can manage to breathe a bit of life that is truly different from my own.

Mi fa scrivere sette bigliettini, me li fa disporre in un certo modo, ne interpreta i risultati.
